Sisodia questions Jaitley's remarks on CBI

The Delhi government on Wednesday demanded to know why the CBI seized Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's records of file movements of November-December this year.

Challenging Finance Minister Arun Jaitley's statement in parliament that the CBI did not search Kejriwal's office, Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia said this was not true.

"File movement register of the chief minister's office has been seized. If the raid was not about the chief minister's present term, why was the register seized?" Sisodia asked.

Sisodia alleged that parliament was taken for a ride by Jaitley.

Jaitley told the parliament on Tuesday that the CBI only raided the office of Kejriwal's principal secretary Rajendra Kumar over transactions in his earlier capacities.
