At least six members of a family were killed as a roadside bomb struck a vehicle in Paktika province, the Interior Ministry said on Saturday.

The deadly attack occurred in Waza Khowah district of Paktika province on Friday, killing six occupants, including four children, on the spot, Xinhua reported.

The Interior Ministry blamed the enemies of peace, a reference to the Taliban militants, and condemned the incident in strong terms.

Taliban militants who largely rely on suicide and roadside bombings have not yet claimed responsibility for the bombing.
