Six people killed in Cairo blast

At least six persons were killed in a bomb explosion at a security checkpoint in Cairo on Friday.

Two officers and four security men were killed and three policemen injured in the blast on a road leading to the Pyramids, Xinhua news agency reported.

There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the attack that took place near a mosque.
