Soldier injured on freak accident on LoC

An Indian soldier was Tuesday injured on the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch district when he accidentally stepped on unexploded explosive material, a defence spokesman said.

"Naik Khubi Ram accidentally stepped on an unexploded explosive in the Krishna Ghati sector of the LoC while on patrol duty in the area. He suffered minor injuries and has been evacuated to the army hospital in Rajouri district," said the spokesman.
