Congress president Sonia Gandhi Tuesday wrote to Pradhanya Munde, wife of union minister Gopinath Munde who died in a car accident, expressing "great pain" at his demise.
"The news about the sudden demise of your husband has caused me great pain. I am aware that the pain must be unbearable for you and other family members and words of condolences are not enough. There are certain accidents in life on which we lack control and must bear with," Gandhi said in the letter.
"Munde, who belonged to an ordinary family achieved a remarkable status in the socio-political arena through his hard work, gentle demeanour and commitment to the marginalised sections," she added.
