Streets in Delhi will soon be lit with LED lights, Power Minister Satyendra Jain said on Thursday.
"The public works department will soon start putting up LED lights on the streets of Delhi. The existing street lights will also be replaced with LED lights but it will take some time," Jain said while speaking at the inaugural ceremony of the 13th edition of LED Expo at Pragati Maidan here.
The LED Expo will continue till December 5.
Around 260 exhibitors are participating in the expo, including over 70 companies from China and over 100 from India.
Other countries that are participating in the expo include Finland, Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan and UAE.
