Subroto Cup: NCC and Carmel girls enter quarters

National Cadet Corps (NCC) from the North Eastern Region defeated Mata Rukmani Kanya Ashram, Chhattisgarh, 3-0 while Carmel Girls High School, Jharkhand downed St Augustine High School, Maharashtra, 3-0 to enter the quarter-finals of the Under-17 girls category of the 55th Subroto Football Tournament at the BR Ambdekar Stadium here Monday.

For the NCC team the goal were scored by S. Teji Bala (two) and Baby Sana while in the other match, Mamta Kumari (two) and Sandhya scored for the Jharkhand side.

Government Model High School, Chandigarh, will face Greenwood High School, Nagaland, in final of the Under-14 category of the tournament Tuesday.
