"Dear @ShashiTharoor lets encourage voter registration among 18-24 yr olds. Large number of them unregistered. EC drive presently underway," tweeted the Bharatiya Janata Party prime ministerial candidate from his account (@narendramodi) Friday afternnon.
In less than a hour, the minister of state for human resource development responded. "Dear @narendramodi Thanks. Good to have an issue on which I agree with you 100%. I have been urging young people in my constituency to do so."
While Tharoor, the Thiruvananthapuram MP, has 1.9 million followers on Twitter, the Gujarat chief minister has 2.3 million.
