Tibetan PM saddened over Nepal quake

Tibetan prime minister-in-exile Lobsang Sangay on Saturday expressed grief over the deaths in Nepal and Indian states after a massive earthquake hit the Himalayan country.

In a condolence message, he said: "Our prayers and thoughts are with the people in Nepal and northern India."

Krishna Prasad Dhakal, deputy chief of mission of Nepal's embassy in New Delhi, told the media that according to local reports, at least 500 people were killed across Nepal.

"We are trying to ascertain the exact number (of casualties)," he said.
