Hurriyat Conference chairman Mirwaiz Moulvi Umar Farooq on Tuesday condemned Republican presidential front-runner Donald J. Trump's call to bar the entry of Muslims into the US.
"He is trying to paint every Muslim in the same colour. This is most unfortunate," Mirwaiz told IANS.
"This has hurt the sentiments of Muslims across the world. He is labelling every Muslim as an extremist and terrorist and as a threat. We strongly condemn it," he added.
Trump has called for a "total and complete" ban on Muslims entering the US until US officials can "figure out what is going on".
