In a bid to capture the fast growing outbound travellers market Turkey is launching a unique website for Indian tourists which boasts of having several innovative and informative features.
"One important aspect of the website is to facilitate Indians to apply for an e-visa, which is very beneficial to avid travellers," said Ozgur Ayturk, culture and tourism counsellor, Turkish embassy.
"These efforts are part of a combined marketing campaign to showcase the enchanting and rich experiential offerings of Turkey."
The new website launch, which is a part of a broader promotion campaign initiated by Turkish Culture and Tourism Office and Turkish Airlines, is being promoted through blogs, Facebook and Twitter pages.
According to the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) Turkey has been ranked the sixth most popular tourist destination in the world.
