Two more people have tested positive for swine flu in Goa, in addition to the 12 patients who have already contracted the disease, Deputy Chief Minister Francis D'Souza said on Saturday.

Speaking to IANS, D'Souza said that all patients suffering from the disease, as well as those who have been treated for it and discharged, are under observation.

"We got some more test results today. Two new cases have been detected. They are currently under treatment," D'Souza said, adding that specially created isolation wards in medical facilities across Goa could cater to as many as 100 patients at a time.

"All patients, even those who have been cured are being kept under observation. We have the situation under control," said D'Souza, who also holds the health portfolio.

Only one person has died due to swine flu in Goa, ever since the nationwide outbreak last month.
