Winter Olympics: Korea's Lee enters PGS final

South Korean alpine snowboarding ace Lee Sang-ho reached the men's parallel giant slalom (PGS) final at the PyeongChang Winter Olympics here on Saturday.
Lee finished third among 32 contestants in the qualifying round after marking a combined time of 1 minute, 25.06 seconds for his two runs, reports Yonhap news agency.
He easily qualified for the knockout finals in which 16 competitors will go head-to-head.
Lee struggled in his first run of 42.90 to finish in 16th place, but moved up to third on his second try with a time of 42.16.
Meanwhile, Lee's teammate Kim Sang-kyum also made it to the finals by finishing 15th with 1:25.88, but Choi Bo-gun failed to make the cut after taking 26th place with 1:26.78.

Nevin Galmarini of Switzerland, current World Cup rankings leader, was the top qualifier with a time of 1:24.78, followed by Zan Kosir of Slovenia with 1:24.97.
