Woman found dead in Bengal club

The body of a young woman, who was partying in a upscale club here on Friendship Day Sunday, was found floating in the swimming pool around midnight, police said.

The woman, Subhanjita Basak, had come to the club at Jagacha of neighbouring Howrah district with a friend to attend the pool party organised on the occasion.

The post mortem report said that alcohol was found in the victim's stomach.

The victim's husband alleged foul play and filed a police complaint.

A police officer said investigation was on and all angles were being probed.
