Canadian actor Diego Klattenhoff, known for shows like "Homeland" and "The Blacklist", says working for longer period of times for a television show is challenging.

He says "trying to stay sharp and on top of things" can be hard.

"The show is always changing... It has been a long process for the schedule say nine months of the year. We shoot in New York and then a lot of days out of that place... The schedule is bit tough. I am used to the winter since I am from Canada, but it's a long trek," Klattenhoff told IANS over phone from Los Angeles.

He added: "A long movie would take six months to shoot. We are doing eight or nine months of solid shooting. It is a challenge... Trying to stay sharp and on top of things and not kind of get blown down (can be a challenge)."

The crime drama series also stars James Spader, and is aired on Star World and Star World HD.
