Economic affairs secretary Shaktikanta Das (pictured) had to miss the Sebi board meeting held on Wednesday in Mumbai, given his preoccupation with the implementation of demonetisation and the developments on the goods and services tax front. Interestingly, the board meeting had a slim turnout as the market regulator currently has only two whole-time members instead of the usual count of three due to the recent retirement of one member.
