Falling off the map

At a recent International Air Transport Association (IATA) press conference, a presentation by Director General and CEO Giovanni Bisignani depicted a map of India without Pakistan Occupied Kashmir. This is a common problem with foreign maps of India but surely a gaffe in a presentation being made in India, which also happens to be an important IATA market. Predictably someone from the audience objected but Bisignani, an Italian, did not react. It was Kingfisher Chairman Vijay Mallya who came to his rescue saying: “I am sure that was inadvertent.”
