When senior advocate Kapil Sibal, who represents the Sahara Group, filed an application seeking the Supreme Court's permission to sell some assets of the group, including four aircraft, the surprised judges wondered if these aircraft were in Lucknow. Chief Justice of India T S Thakur suggested these be used by the lawyers who are handling the case. "One each for you, Dr (Rajeev) Dhawan (another lawyer representing Sahara), amicus curiae (Shekhar Naphade) and Mr (Arvind) Datar (lawyer representing the Securities and Exchange Board of India)," said Thakur.
