Letters: Bitter dose for the economy
We must solve supply-side constraints by increasing productivity and production

T N Ninan in his column “UPA-II(a)?” (October 6) brought into focus the challenges the government is facing. Indeed, bitter medicines are required to cure the diseases that afflict the economy. We must solve supply-side constraints by increasing productivity and production. And we should reduce dependence on fuel imports by increasing domestic production of conventional energy sources. The country is also looking forward to a revolutionary as well as an evolutionary Budget.
