Railway Minister Mamata Banerjee again showed that you can’t expect her to be present in important meetings of the government. Banerjee, famous for skipping crucial Cabinet meetings regularly, did not attend the NDC meet on Saturday. All other Cabinet ministers from the UPA’s partners — NCP, DMK and National Conference — were present. According to Trinamool Congress sources, while her chair remained vacant on the dais, Banerjee spent yet another day in Kolkata.
