Railroad to bliss

At a recent press interaction, Railway Minister Mamata Banerjee asked journalists for suggestions on how to improve the quality of service the railways offered. One journalist pointed out that discount coupons for accredited journalists don’t allow spouses to travel in adjacent seats as the two tickets have to be bought separately. Banerjee immediately quipped, “ Arre , this is a major problem. If husband and wife can’t travel together, then there will be a fight at home. We must do something to stop domestic problems.”
