Asserting that the BJP's performance in Maharashtra and Haryana Assembly polls was not a verdict for the Union government, BSP chief Mayawati said people "fell for" Narendra Modi's argument that his government has got very little time to perform, and so he should not be judged on that basis.

"It is, however, well known that BJP has made no concrete move to fulfil the promises made by it (during Lok Sabha polls) nor has any workplan for the purpose," Mayawati said, referring to issues like inflation, unemployment and brining black money back and utilising it for development.

"On the issue of black money stashed in foreign banks, Modi government has adopted an ostrich-like approach, similar to that of the previous Congress-led government and this is in complete contrast to their promise," she alleged.

She said "dramas" were being enacted in the name of 'Swach Bharat Abhiyan' to divert peoples' attention.
