Congress to meet soon over general elections' report

BS Reporter New Delhi
The Congress Working Committee (CWC), the highest decision-making body, is likely to meet soon to discuss the A K Antony committee report that details reasons for the party's Lok Sabha debacle. Congress spokesperson Anand Sharma said, "CWC will discuss the report, filed. I am sure it will meet at the earliest."

Congress leader A K Antony had given a report to Congress President Sonia Gandhi on August 14 after meeting leaders, chief ministers and party workers.

The Congress president had set up a panel of Antony, All India Congress Committee General-Secretary Mukul Wasnik, Secretary R C Khuntia and Avinash Pandey.

It is said the price rise, Congress's failure to communicate and the media's focus on Narendra Modi have been identified as the reasons for the electoral loss.
