Ravi Shankar Prasad says central govt was neither a govt of suit case nor of suit boot

Reacting to Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi's 'suit boot ki sarkar' jibe, BJP leader and union minister Ravi Shankar Prasad on Sunday said the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led administration was a "wise government" that works for the country's development.

IT and Communications Minister Prasad also said the central government was "neither a government of suit case nor of suit boot (for the rich)".

"Our government is a wise government which works for the development of the nation," he told reporters here.

Gandhi accused the central government of being "suit boot ki sarkar" during a farmers' rally in the national capital on Sunday.
