Panneerselvam seeks judicial inquiry into Jaya's death, fasts for a day

Jayalalithaa died on December 5, 2016 after 75 days in Apollo Hospitals at Chennai

Former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu and trusted aide of late J Jayalalithaa O Panneerselvam is on one day fast demanding a judicial inquiry into the death of Former Chief Minister Jayalalithaa.

It may be noted, Jayalalithaa died on December 5, 2016 after 75 days in Apollo Hospitals at Chennai. His followers also began their one day fast on Wednesday across the state at the district headquarters.

AIADMK Members of Parliament and state legislators, who are supporting Panneerselvam, are also participating in the hunger protest.

Panneerselvam who resigned from the Chief Minister's post, which he claims that he was forced to, earlier announced judicial inquiry into the death of Jayalalithaa when he was a caretaker Chief Minister of the state.

On March 6, 2017, Tamil Nadu government made public the discharge summary of Jayalalithaa and said she got the best medical treatment.
