Narrating his experience of how tough it was to secure permission for the shoot, producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra told reporters, "This is the first film shot at the Lord's stadium. But I must say we had a tough time to get the permission from the officials at the Lord's stadium."
"Initially the officials there said no...They did not give us the permission. It was later when we sent our script to them that they agreed to allow us to shoot there. Also, initially they were giving us one room but seeing our dedication they allowed us to shoot a few scenes at the Lords stadium," Chopra said.
Chopra was speaking on the occasion of launch of a song, 'Maara Sixer, Maara Four' in which the young actor is seen playing cricket at the Lords stadium.
Directed by Raju Hirani's assistant, Rajesh Mapuskar, 'Ferrari Ki Sawari' is about a person who believes in dreaming big no matter how difficult it is to achieve and wants his son to have the same passion for his dream.
The film is a heart-warming tale of unconditional love between a father, played by Sharman Joshi, and his son and is about the young boy's dream to play cricket at the Lords stadium. The film, also starring Boman Irani, releases on June 15.
