Village guard killed

The body of Bhagaban Nayak, gramarakhi of village Girliput under Baipariguda police station, was recovered from a forest area, about 60 km from here, Superintendent of Police, Koraput, Awinash Kumar said.

The body with a gun shot wound on the head was found by local residents, he said.

A letter left near the body said that Nayak was helping the police.
