1.3 kg heroin, hidden in tractor's drawbar, seized; one held

Over one kg of heroin, hidden in a tractor's drawbar, was seized by the Border Security Force in Punjab's border outpost Jodhawala area in Abohar sector.

One person was apprehended in connection with the seizure, a BSF official said today.

During a special search operation, BSF personnel seized 1.3 kg heroin which was hidden in the tractor's drawbar, the official said.

A drawbar is a bar on a vehicle to which something can be attached to pull it or be pulled. It is also used with farm implement.

The tractor was found in the fields of Kala Singh, a resident of Jodhawala, Fazilka district. He was then apprehended by the BSF personnel.
 

With this seizure, a total of 85.806 kg of heroin has been seized this year.
