One person was killed and his cousin injured after unidentified men opened fire on them in south Kashmir's Pulwama district last night, police said.
The gunmen entered the house of Bashir Ahmad Dar at Qasbayar in Pulwama district last night and fired at him and his cousin Altaf Ahmad Dar, leaving them injured, a police official said.
He said the injured were rushed to a hospital, where doctors declared Bashir dead.
Altaf is undergoing treatment, the official said, adding police have registered a case and a probe has been launched into the matter.
