A load carrier tonight skidded off the road and fell into a deep gorge in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir, killing one person and injuring two others, police said.
The load carrier was on its way to Dongro from Karora late evening, when it met with the accident in Parhi area of Doda, they said.
On receiving information, a police team from a nearby post and locals rushed the injured to the district hospital Doda, where doctors declared one of them as brought dead, DSP Iftkhar Ahmed said.

Bashir Ahmed (32), who was travelling in the vehicle, died on the spot while Ghulam Qadir and driver Mohd Yusaf were injured, the police said.
The body was handed over to family members after postmortem, they added.
