One person was killed when he was
crossing NH-31 at Rangia Highway Chowk in Assam's Kamrup district today, police sources said.
A speeding truck knocked down Pradip Kalita(45), a bus conductor, as he was crossing the road with a passenger, the sources said.
The passenger with him, however, escaped unhurt.
The truck also hit the bus, they said, adding, police seized both the vehicles.
The body of Kalita, who hails from village Rampur near Ghograpar under Nalbari district, has been sent for post mortem.
