One person was shot dead by
unidentified gunman at Shillongani, on outskirts of Nagaon town in central Assam tonight, police sources said.
The person died on the spot when he was shot from very close range at about 9.45 pm, the sources said.
The person was yet to be identified and details are awaited, they added.
