Ten people were killed while 17 others got injured in two separate road accidents, police said today.
A private bus fell into a ditch in Kirtinagar area of Tihri district yesterday killing six persons on the spot. 17 others were also injured in the incident, police officials said.
The driver of the bus, on its way to Srinagar from Tihri, suddenly lost control over the vehicle and it fell straight into the ditch.
The injured were admitted to a hospital nearby where the condition of six of them is said to be critical, they said.
In a separate incident in Lata area of Chamoli district last night, a truck fell into a ditch killing four of its occupants on the spot.
The truck was returning from Badrinath area to Joshimath after providing supplies to the army.
