10 killed, 32 injured in road accident in China

At least 10 people were killed and 32 others injured today in a road accident in northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region.

The accident took place when a large truck collided with a passing by lorry which carried 41 workers on a highway in Wujiaqu City, local authorities said.

After the collision both vehicles overturned and plunged 1.5 metres into a ditch.

All the injured were rushed to local hospitals and the condition of six people is reported to be serious.
