100 solar power stations to be set up in Tripura

Sources said Rs 3 crore will be invested to set up power plants with capacity of generating 1 to 3 KV power in different parts of the state to electrify schools, offices and market places in the remote areas of the state.
Sources said, government has also decided to provide Rs 20,000 to each beneficiary to set up 500 biogas plants in the state and added each plant would cost Rs 22000 and the expenditure of setting up the plants would be jointly bourne by Centre and state governments.
