Gunmen have killed 11 people, including five girls, from the same family in northern Mexico while three other people were murdered in another attack, the authorities said.
The two shootings, that occurred yesterday, are believed to be related to a dispute between rival gangs in the crime-ridden city of Ciudad Victoria, said Herminio Garza Palacios, secretary general of Tamaulipas state.
