In the latest repatriation between India and Sri Lanka, Indian Coast Guard today received 15 fishermen of the country from the Sri Lankan Navy at the International Maritime Boundary Line (IMBL) in the Palk Straits.
Coast Guard ship ICGS Naikidevi received the fishermen around 4.45 pm, an official release said.
The fishermen would be handed over to fisheries department officials.
In January alone, a total of 302 Indian fishermen and their 45 boats and 138 Lankan fishermen with their 16 boats were repatriated.
