15 new cases of swine flu surfaced in West Bengal taking the toll of those infected with the disease to 289 since January, a health official said here.
"We do not have report of any death due to swine flu in the last 24 hours from anywhere in the state," West Bengal Principal Secretary (Health and Family Welfare) Moloy Dey told PTI.
15 persons were tested positive with the disease, among which nine were from the city, he said.

Besides, two from North 24 Parganas district and one case each of swine flu infection was reported from Japlaiguri, Darjeeling, Hooghly and Howrah districts, Dey said.
"At the moment ten patients are critically ill and are on ventilation. Out of the 79 patients, 35 are being treated at state-run hospitals and 44 others are admitted at private facilities," he said.
In the last 24 hours, 13 patients were discharged from different hospitals in the state after they fully recovered from the disease, Dey said, adding 192 patients were released and swine flu has claimed 18 persons from the state since January.
