A 15-year-old girl was allegedly
raped by a 24-year-old neighbour here, police said today.
The incident took place last night at a village falling under the jurisdiction of the Mat police station, they said.

The accused first lured the girl and then dragged her to an isolated place where he committed the crime. Her family was attending a function nearby, police said.
The girl was sent for medical examination," Deputy Superintendent of Police Sanjai Kumar said.
An FIR has been lodged under relevant provisions of the IPC and POCSO Act and a manhunt has been launched to nab the absconding accused, he said.
