16 terrorists killed in army raids in Egypt

At least 16 militants were killed today in raids by the military in Egypt's restive North region under a major operation started to tighten control of border districts.

The Egyptian also said that 66 terrorist points, arms depots, eleven vehicles and 31 unlicensed motor-bikes used by militants in their attacks were destroyed during the raids.

The also said that 30 suspected terrorists were arrested.

Last Friday, police and announced that they will be on high alert for the duration of Operation 2018.
