A 45-year-old woman was stabbed to death allegedly by her minor son after he had a quarrel with her, in Sagwada area of Dungarpur district, police said today.
"The boy (16) said that her mother Driti Joshi was unfair to him and was closer to his younger brother, so he stabbed her to death in their house in Sagwada area yesterday," SHO Sagwada, Manish said.
"Her husband Yashwant, a teacher, had gone to school and the younger brother was also not present in the house, when the incident occurred. Neighbours informed about the incident to the police following which he was detained and is presently under custody," he said.
The body was handed over to family members after conducting a postmortem.
