18 houses gutted in fire in UP, no causalities

At least eighteen houses were gutted today in a fire that broke-out in Pyaredeeh Kanahra village in Mahrajganj Tarai police station area here, police said.

The fire started at one Shamsher's house which rapidly spread among adjacent houses and took them in its grip, officials said.

The incident occurred this afternoon, they said.

No casualties were reported in the incident, they said, adding that four goats were charred in the fire.

Cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained, they added.
