180 kg pulses stolen in Madhya Pradesh

Around 180 kg of pulses, whose prices have substantially increased, were stolen from a godown under in Morar area here, police said.

The godown's owner, Jitendra Kumar, yesterday lodged a complaint with the police that 180 kg of pulses comprising Arhar dal (100 kg) and Masoor dal (80 kg) worth around Rs 35,000 has been stolen on Friday night, Morar Inspector Ratnesh Singh Tomar said.

Besides, he said that Kumar has complained that 180 kg of sesame and mustard was also stolen from his godown.

A case has been registered in this regard and efforts are on to nab the culprits, the officer said.
