19-year-old student shot dead

A 19-year-old student of class XI was shot dead by two youths in the Gandhinagar locality here last night.

According to SHO, K P Singh, the body of the victim - Vimal - with bullet injuries was found some distance from his house.

The body has been sent for postmortem and investigations are on, he said.

Irate locals protested the killing and demanded that the culprits be arrested. The police have registered a case and have launched a manhunt, the official said.
