2.3 kg gold seized from air passenger

Gold weighing 2.3 kg and valued at Rs 70 lakh was seized from a passenger who arrived here from Abu Dhabi, airport officials today said.

Airport officials said the Kerala native, who arrived late last night, was found carrying the gold concealed inside some electrical equipment following which he was detained for inquiry.
