Two persons have been arrested in connection with murder of a youth at Bhuma village here, police said today.
Yaqoob and Mona were arrested yesterday on the charges of gunning down 25-year-old Satbir. On June 29, four bike-borne persons opened fire on Satbir, killing him on spot in Miranpur area, SSP K B Singh said, adding, investigation is underway.
Following the killing, irate locals had pelted stones and damaged a police vehicle.
Meanwhile, Shoaib Miyan, SHO of Miranpur police station, has been suspended for negligence of duty in connection, the SSP said.
