2-day skill conclave concludes in Srinagar

A two-day skill conclave aimed at engaging different stakeholders in skill building, and grassroots innovations, concluded here today.

The event, 'TALAASH-Skill and Conclave, 2018', was organised by (JKSDM).

It had sessions on skill development, entrepreneurship, knowledge innovation, creating the human resource for industry and fostering linkages, an said.

He said for IT, Technical Education and Higher Education and for Finance, Labour and Employment and for Technical Education and Training Charanjeet Singh Channi were present at the event.

Besides technical sessions, the conclave included a skill exhibition including local innovations and crafts, felicitation ceremony of the state-level winners of India Skill-J and K, 2018 and the institutions and trainers involved with it, the said.

The conclave was also attended by representatives from (NSDA), National Skill Development Corporation, representatives, academic institutions, industry players, members, entrepreneurs and innovators of the state.

Speaking on the occasion, Ansari said he was hopeful that the team at would try to work on the outcomes of the consultations which happened over the last two days and devise new programmes to improve the skill building environment in the state.

Bukhari said he was hopeful that the team would leave no stone unturned in providing skill opportunities to the youth so that their future becomes bright and hopeful.
