2 dead, 14 others injured in road mishap

Two persons were killed today and 14 others injured after the vehicle they were travelling in skidded off the road and fell into a ditch in Fatehganj (west) area here, police said.

The accident took place this morning after the driver of the passenger jeep lost control causing the vehicle to plunge into a ditch. Driver, Rakesh (25) and passenger Rambedi (34) were killed on the spot, they said.

The bodies were sent for postmortem while the injured were rushed to a government hospital where their condition is stated to be stable, police added.
