Two Haryana youths today died and eight others sustained serious injuries when their car collided with a truck near Bija, 35 km from here, on the GT road, police said.
Deepak Kumar (19) from Karnal and Deepak (22) from Sonepat in Haryana died on the spot when a truck hit their car from behind. The students were on their way to Ludhiana to appear in a Railway Board examination, police said.
Eight others sustained serious injuries and one of them is in critical condition, they said.
The injured persons were rushed to a nearby hospital, police added.
