2, including Territorial Army jawan, killed after car falls in gorge in J-K

Two persons, including a jawan, were killed and another was injured when their car skidded off the Jammu-National Highway near here and fell into a deep gorge today, the police said.

Mohammad Iqbal, the jawan, was driving his newly bought car from to his home in Banihal town along with two other locals. Near Kela Morh in district, he lost control over the vehicle and it fell into an over 200-feet gorge, a said.

Iqbal and Mohammad Ramzan, a civilian, died on the spot, while another person, Mohammad Hanief, was critically injured, the police said.

Hanief was taken to Government Medical College Hospital for specialized treatment, they said.

Yesterday, a and the helper were killed when their vehicle fell into a gorge at Mehar in district.
